Occupy the Musical
Premieres at the Hamilton Fringe Festival 2012 on July 20th!
In time, there will be more on this page, including some music and lyrics, once we open the show. Please feel free to contact us with any comments or questions.
Civil disobedience isn't supposed to be convenient.
It's supposed to be disruptive.
Occupy the Musical isn't simply a play, it's a public disturbance.
Hopefully an entertaining and enlightening one,
but also deliberately intended to be a little dangerous.
I’d be surprised if you hadn’t heard of the occupation movement, and equally surprised if you didn’t have an opinion. Occupy the musical is part protest, part how-to improve the world guide, part interactive theatre, and hopefully all fun, like an occupy encampment with 99% more music. To speak for the 99% is to embrace an incredible variety of issues and ideas, give voice to immensely different viewpoints, ask and try to answer some tough questions, and then join our voices together into a message of hope and a call to action.
Below are just a few of the things we think about occupy. If you like any of our graphics, please share them through our facebook page rather than uploading them to your own page. We worked really hard on them, and it lets you connect to new material we produce regularly. Click on them for direct links, or contact us with any questions.
